Cody Parent

Group: Stony Plain FunTeam Hockey

Cody is the Group Manager of the FunTeam Stony Plain Hockey group. He takes his role very seriously and has gone above and beyond to make the experience for the participants as fun as possible.

He books the ice times, conducts registration, plans the group's year end party, and even managed to get the team members in the handshake tunnel and on the ice for the national anthem at an Oil Kings game!

Cody makes sure to work with the volunteers to make sure they are comforatbale in their position. He has even created a coaching manual all on his own for his coaches to reference drills, games, and ways to keep things fun.

All of these things are great qualities of a leader and the parents, volunteers, and the participants greatly appreciate the hard work Cody puts in. He is the first one to arrive and last to leave. He also exemplifies all the principles of FunTeam Alberta and makes sure to promote that first and foremost with any participant or volunteer before they step on the ice.

Thanks to Cody to all he does for his community and to his St. Albert FunTeam hockey group. He is more than deserving of a nomination for the Randy Gregg Volunteer award!
