Brandon Barth

Group: Delia FunTeam Hockey
Nominated by: Amanda Hardy

We are happy to announce that Brandon Barth have been nominated for the 2019 Nicky Sereda Particiapnt Award!

This year was Brandon’s first season with the Delia FunTeam Hockey and he has shown exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork and compassion for his team.

In October, the coaches put on a team building day with the Junior and Varsity teams and matched each Varsity player with their “little” on the Junior Team. This was the first experience Brandon showed how much compassion he had. He encouraged his “little” in the group challenges and made sure that she was involved and felt comfortable in each situation.

At the Delia hockey tournament, Brandon took one of his teammate’s younger siblings under his wing having a little shadow for the day. He made this little 4 year old feel so special dressing him in goalie equipment, playing with him in the dressing room and hanging out with him when Brandon was not on the ice.

Brandon always comes to hockey with a positive attitude and really takes a shining to the smaller kids on and off the ice, and he is always happy to make a child smile. He is a true role model and team player!
