FunTeam Celebrates 20 Years
at the West Edmonton Mall
On Saturday April 16, 2011 FunTeam Alberta took over the West Edmonton Mall Ice
Palace to celebrate 20 years of providing less competition, low cost, family oriented
sporting opportunities to children, youth and adults all over Alberta. Forty two
different FunTeam families from all across Alberta came out to take part in the
festivities. The day began with FunTeam President and founder, Randy Gregg, overseeing
a FunTeam male's hockey game between the
Cyclones and Typhoon. These teams were made up of male FunTeam members
12 years of age and under. (To view the team listings please see the program.)

take part in a shootout challenge with the prize being accommodations at the Sawridge
Inn and Conference Centre Jasper. All participants received a special prize and
those registered in the hockey activity were given special commemorative FunTeam
jerseys to remember this special occasion. Family Passes to West Edmonton Mall attractions
and special Oilers posters were also given out. The day came to a close as Randy
Gregg presented this year's SportChek Outstanding Participant Award to Nathan Bell
(Drumheller) and the Randy Gregg Volunteer Award to Tim & Lori Houston (Olds). To
